چکیده

This paper reports a stimuli-responsive designer supramolecular polymer gel in dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO)/water (1:2) based on dipeptide amphiphile and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) The contains caproic acid at the N terminus methyl ester C terminus. From X-ray single crystal diffraction, adopts kink-like conformation. self-assembled to form parallel sheet-like structure stabilized by multiple intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Moreover, is also edge-to-edge π–π stacking interactions. In higher-order packing, it forms corrugated hydrophobic interacts with through formation simple heating-cooling cycle. sol-to-gel transformation because of host–guest complex between compound 1 β-CD accompanied microstructure changes from nanofibers microrods. temperature responsive Tgel 70 °C. stimuli such aspicric HCl. extensive spectroscopic studies show that aromatic side chain β-CD. These results will be helpful for design advanced programable eco-friendly functional materials.

Optically responsive supramolecular polymer glasses

The reversible and dynamic nature of non-covalent interactions between the constituting building blocks renders many supramolecular polymers stimuli-responsive. This was previously exploited to create thermally and optically healable polymers, but it proved challenging to achieve high stiffness and good healability. Here we present a glass-forming supramolecular material that is based on a trif...

Supramolecular copolymers with stimuli-responsive sequence control.

We report a novel responsive supramolecular copolymer able to change its monomer sequence as a result of molecular stimuli. Nucleic acids and RNAse are used as molecular inputs, controlling the clustering of specific monomers along the polymer backbone. This opens new ways towards the molecular control of synthetic supramolecular networks.

Stimuli-Responsive Polymer Nanotube Arrays

Nanotube arrays, composed of materials such as carbon, titania, and zinc oxide, have shown potential as conductors, energy conversion devices, actuators, and adhesives. Such nanoscale constructs are particularly novel for their high area-to-volume and length-to-diameter aspect ratios that lead to physical and chemical properties more interesting than their bulk counterparts. However, the stimul...

Cucurbit[8]uril directed stimuli-responsive supramolecular polymer brushes for dynamic surface engineering.

In situ modification of surfaces with thin layers of polymers is of growing interest as adjustment of surface properties can be made on demand. We present herein a supramolecular 'grafting to' polymer brush via the recognition of surface-bound cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]) rotaxanes towards end-functionalised polyethylene glycol (PEG). This dynamic supramolecular method represents advantages over tra...
